Audi SQ7 Facelift Unveiled Beside 435hp V8 Diesel motor
The renewed performance variant of the Audi Q7 gets exterior and interior modifications and the identical V8 diesel engine from the SQ8.
Audi has unveiled a modernized variant of the range-topping SQ7 SUV, highlighting a 435bhp turbocharged V8 diesel engine. The 7-seat contender to the similarities of the Porsche Macan and Range Rover Sport highlights similar exterior differences seen on the mid-cycle facelift for the standard Q7 series, with the extension of some S-specific items. These incorporate a redesigned grille, aluminum mirror features, quad chrome exhaust pipes, and 21-inch cast-aluminum wheels.
The 4.0-liter biturbo V8 diesel engine is the same unit that sits under the bonnet of the recently revealed SQ8. The motor develops 900Nm of torque, which helps Audi claim a 0-100kph time of 4.8secs, though the top speed is limited to 250kph. As in the SQ8, the diesel engine is supported by a 48V mild-hybrid Electrically Powered Compressor (EPC) that aids the two turbochargers, boosting energy under dispatch at lowering speeds.

Power is sent through an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission to all-four wheels via Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system. Adaptive sport air suspension is standard fit though the SQ7 also features progressive steering to enhance handling.
There are 400mm brake discs at the face, with 370mm discs at the rear. The calipers are finished in black, although they are optionally available in red.
The interior of the SQ7 features bespoke leather sports seats with combined head restraints, and Audi’s MMI navigating plus system.
The SQ7 will be awarded in a Vorsprung version, which adds all-wheel steering to additional aid handling. It also highlights 22-inch wheels, and seats fitted with climate control and a massage function.
While we know that Audi India will bring the standard Q7 to the country sometime in the following year, there is no information yet on this hotter variant coming.
