Mercedes-AMG G 63 recently launched @ Rs 2.19 crore
Mercedes-Benz has recently released the latest AMG G 63 at the price of Rs 2.19 crore in India. The AMG version is the only model from the latest G-class range – unveiled globally, earlier this year – that will make it to India. The SUV is undoubtedly a G wagon as it has round headlamps, mounted direction indicators, high bonnet, boxy silhouette, and door hinges and handles. Apart from the newly added high-tech features and the all-new engine, chassis, and body of G 63, The Mercedes-AMG continued to have the same character as the original G-class which is an off-road icon that started its production about 40 years ago.
The all-new G 63 acquires a comparatively more strong shell of the body and a wider ladder-frame chassis, uplifting stability and comfort and its ground clearance is about 241mm. With an aim of intensifying the ability to move quickly and easily, both on the road and off-road, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 also gets a properly modified suspension surrounded with the coil springs. According to Mercedes, the front axle has a double and independent suspension of wishbone for the very first time. A rigid axle of Mercedes-AMG G 63 has five-link suspension, which is utilized at the rear.

Exterior design features consist of side-mounted exhaust pipes, glittered wheel arches to serve the higher standard alloy wheels of 21-inch, LED headlamps and a unique radiator grille. The cabin highlights an all-new design of dashboard with Widescreen Cockpit of Mercedes-Benz that consists of a combination of digital instruments with two standard display of about 12.3-inch. G 63 has comparatively more legroom and shoulder room than earlier. The seating capacity of G 63 is 5. Safety features of the latest G 63 consist of active brake assist, lane keeping assistance as standard and nine airbags. The car is fully automatic and the additional Driving assistance pack includes a blind spot monitoring system and an adaptive cruise control.
The new G 63 is powered by an M178 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 petrol motor which generates a colossal 585hp at 6,000 rpm and 850Nm of high torque at 2,500-3,500 rpm. The biturbo unit restores the 5.5-litre V8 and sees an upliftment in power of 41hp and torque of 90Nm. The engine is paired to an all-new AMG Speed-shift TCT 9G 9-speed automatic transmission that mechanizes all the wheels through the system of Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel-drive. Also, the five on-road drive modes on provide – Slippery, Individual, Sport+, Comfort, and Sport. The G 63 also contains three off-road drive modes of Rock, Sand, and Trail.

The kerb weight of 2,485kg doesn’t stop Mercedes-AMG G 63 to run with a speed of 100kph in just the time period of 4.5 sec. Along with the AMG package of the driver, the top speed is electronically crowned at up to 220kph to 240kph. The G 63 has total 7 gears and 8 cylinders with a fuel tank capacity of 96. The Mercedes-AMG gives Mileage of 8.47 Kmpl. If we talk about comfort and convenience, the G 63 comes fully prepared with its Air conditioner, Heater, Steering adjustment & mounted audio, cruise control, rear parking sensor & camera, electronically adjustable rear view mirror, climate control, Upholstery, and many more features. Instrumentation and communication in G 63 come with Average fuel efficiency indicator, GPS navigation and three warnings for low fuel, seat belt, and door ajar. For entertainment, there is Music system, Internal memory, radio, Bluetooth USB support, speakers and CD/DVD player as usual.
